Produktbeskrivelse

Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour's "Passage" is an extraordinary elite sports story about the quest for perfection in the complete symbiosis between rider and horse—and a deeply personal tale of liberation about the struggle to find her own way to manage her talent and personality. In her autobiography, Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour gives readers an unfiltered and unique insight into what it has cost Denmark's most successful dressage rider to achieve her sporting goals and fulfill the ultimate dream of becoming one of the world's best dressage riders—and to be able to live from her passion.

She is trained by two of the world's best dressage riders: Princess Nathalie Zu-Sayn Wittgenstein and the legendary Olympic rider Kyra Kyrklund. In 2021, she married showjumper Rasmine Laudrup-Dufour and became part of Denmark's largest sports family. In this book, she tells for the first time about all her victories—and about the downside of success.

At the age of 12, Cathrine joined the pony national team and has been at the top of Danish equestrian sport ever since. That same year, she won the Danish Championship. Since then, she has participated in two Olympics and won a host of honors and countless medals at the Danish Championships, European Championships, and Nordic Championships.

In 2022, she brought home the World Championship gold with the Danish dressage national team for the first time ever. Her career is full of victories but also includes defeats, human costs, and personal losses. One price for her success is that she has lost contact with some of her family. Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour was born in 1992 in Hvalsø. She is married to showjumper Rasmine Laudrup-Dufour. They live on a farm in Fredensborg, from where they run their business. Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour is the most successful Danish dressage rider of all time. The book is written in collaboration with author and journalist Birgitte Wulff, who is behind several bestselling biographies and is the author of the crime series about Anne Velin.
